Brendon has been approached by the selectors to
be on the Rio Squad for the 2016 OLYMPICS!
WOW CONGRATULATIONS BRENDON.


Last week we said how our sports assistant
Brendon went to the NZ Secondary School
Athletics championships in Hastings. Well our BIG
CONGRATULATIONS TO HIM, he won GOLD
not only that he broke the NZ record in his age group,
jumping 7.13 metres. (Measure it out its a long way!)

This crew is tight!
Every Friday Patsy challenges the kids to team up and express their crews moves through a freestyle hip-hop dance.
In the last couple of terms there has been a lot of growth at Yikes in the Under 8's. Therefore we've had to put a lot of time and energy there to get it all functioning well. Well 2011 our focus will turn to developing the over 8's area. Focus will include e-mag, journalism, multimedia. Yikes will begin funding application process to resource this.

Our awesome sports assistant - Brendon is actually a local sports champ, breaking records in long jump. We wish him well this weekend at the Secondary School Sports Champs in Hastings. We'll fill you in on his trip next week.
